Marina Contro is an artist, hand weaver, and textile designer based in California. She received an MFA in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2017) and a BA in Religious Studies from University of Colorado Boulder (2009). She has taught at California College of the Arts and School of the Art Institute of Chicago and held residencies at Castello di Potentino, Andrea Zittel's A-Z West, Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, and Marshfield School of Weaving.
